Ho Cheng Huat
Executive Vice President
Intellectual Property Management Division

As Executive Vice President of the Intellectual Property Management division, Cheng Huat oversees a team that manages the largest pool of made-in-Singapore technologies. A former Singapore registered patent agent with more than eight years of patent prosecution experience, Cheng Huat has previously served as the Director of Singapore’s IP Academy and is currently a member of the Association of Singapore Patent Agents and the Licensing Executives Society in Singapore.


Dr Sidney Yee
Executive Vice President
Incubation and Startup Management Division 

S idney, a trained chemist and research scholar, is currently CEO for the Diagnostics Development Hub and Executive Vice President at ETPL. She works with her team to productise innovative diagnostic technologies at DxD Hub and leads the Incubation and Start-up Management team at ETPL to advise and support startup activities. 

She is a serial entrepreneur, who had led and co-led fund-raising activities for biotech startups such as Vanda Pharma and Paradigm Therapeutics, which exited through IPO and acquisition. She is also a member of SPRING Singapore’s Network of MedTech Advisors, a member on the Creativity and Innovation Consultative Panel of Malaysia Productivity Corporation as well as a non-executive board member of INEX Innovations Exchange Pte Ltd, FENIX Pte Ltd, and Mediven Sdn Bhd .

Planning Division 

Eugene is Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning at ETPL. He is responsible for corporate governance, policy and business development strategies of ETPL. As Senior Vice President, Eugene plays a key role in shaping the company's growth, operational efficiency as well as marketing functions. Prior to assuming his current position at ETPL, Eugene held various offices at A*STAR including Director of its Organisational Excellence Division and Deputy Director of Policy and Planning. Before joining the A*STAR family, Eugene had come from a varied background which spanned consultancy and market intelligence for companies such as IDC and IBM. Eugene holds a MSc in Management from the London School of Economics.

Michelle Khor

Corporate Services Division


Michelle is Senior Vice President of Corporate Services at ETPL. She oversees human resource management and development, finance, and administration, and bridges ETPL business units with A*STAR corporate groups.  Michelle has more than 25 years of corporate experience in the R&D, health and education sectors including director and managerial positions at the A*STAR Graduate Academy, Corporate Communications and Human Resource departments as well as in managing budgets, partnerships and programmes in the outreach and education business.

Commercialisation (Biomedical Sciences) Division

As Senior Vice President, Commercialisation for Biomedical Sciences at ETPL, Kah Yean leads an experienced team of business development and licensing professionals to originate and manage an impactful portfolio of deep science technologies based on A*STAR’s assets and funding to advance towards productization.

Kah Yean’s 25-year career spans the breadth of the healthcare industry, having spent time in pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and consumer healthcare with focus in general management, commercial and strategic roles for Asia-Pacific. She has held various leadership roles in multinationals such as Johnson & Johnson, Bayer and Baxter with a solid track record in business achievement and people development.

Kah Yean is the former President of the Singapore Association of Pharmaceutical Industries and is actively engaged in advising companies and mentoring startups. She holds a Bachelor of Science for Biochemistry and Chemistry and an MBA from University of Hull, U.K, and is an alumnae of Smith College, Massachusetts and University of Notre-Dame, Indiana, through various leadership programs.
